LANDINI

LANDINI S.p.A. produces building materials, offering a range of products that has continued to developed over the years. With three production facilities, advanced plants and machinery, an area of 220,000 sq. m, of which 80,000 indoors, and a staff of about 300 people, it is able to meet the most diverse needs of its many Italian and international customers.

Needs

An initial energy assessment of the structure found:

Significant electrical consumption, with a constant daily and annual use
Significant heating consumption in the winter, with a consistent pattern of daily use
Significant cooling consumption throughout the year

The annual energy needs of the LANDINI plant are equal to 20,272 MWh of electricity and 5,954 MWh of thermal energy in the form of steam, hot water and cooling energy produced by the absorption chiller unit.

Solutions

The tri-generation plant built at the Landini plant in Castelnovo Sotto, Reggio Emilia has an electrical capacity of 1.0 MWe, a thermal capacity of 1,216 MWt and a cooling capacity of 0.884 MWf.
