CPL CONCORDIA, which has always been attentive to the well-being and development of the environment around us, has decided to extend its support to the ecosystem by adopting 400 abandoned olive trees, thanks to joining the project of the Tuscan startup Ager Oliva with the initiativeThe Roots of Change, a contribution to lay the roots of change toward a better future.

The amount of abandoned olive trees in Italy is extremely high, exceeding 4 million in Tuscany alone. This situation can lead to the death of these plants, the growth of weeds and the spread of diseases, leading to the loss or drastic decrease of an environmental heritage that distinguishes our national territory, representing a symbol of the hilly agricultural landscape.
Ager Oliva is a startup founded in September 2020 in Pistoia with the goal of recovering abandoned olive groves, caring for them and giving them new life.
The company was born through the founder’s intuition and passion, and represents a very ambitious and important initiative of high environmental, social, agricultural, and landscape value. In fact, the company’s mission is to help safeguard the land, which is increasingly threatened by hydrogeological disruption.
The adoption of olive trees involves a few basic steps
- mowing tall grass;
- pruning of olive trees;
- mechanical harvesting of olives;
- cold pressing of olives;
- storage of raw oil in vats;
- packaging and shipping of cans.

From 2022, Ager Oliva gives the opportunity to dicertify the CO2 saved through the adoption and recovery of abandoned olive fields.
