Selex ES was a subsidiary of Finmeccanica, today it is a division of Leonardo SpA, a company whose main shareholder is the Ministry of Defence, operating in the aerospace, aeronautics, electronics, security and defence sectors.

The company’s need was to find a partner for the Plant management and maintenance of the headquarters in Genoa, which consists of two buildings for a total of almost 60,000 square meters of covered area: 37,000 square meters of offices, 6,000 square meters of warehouses and 10,000 square meters of laboratories and workshops.

Elsag Datamat has decided to pursue the goal of improving energy efficiency thanks to:

• Plant management and maintenance: management of mechanical, electrical and CED systems, with the support of a dedicated contact center
• Replacement of obsolete technological systems with high-efficiency machines
• Installation of heat recovery units in the plants for the production of the necessary cold for the various rooms that house the servers of the Group companies
• Restructuring and expansion of the company’s data center, total renovation of the electrical and air conditioning systems, expansion of structured and fiber optic cabling. All this without any interruption to operations

• Improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of operating costs and renewed plants
• Optimization of the process of transformation and use of energy with consequent savings in economic terms and polluting emissions, also thanks to the introduction of plants that produce energy from alternative sources (photovoltaic and cogeneration)
• Improvement of the comfort conditions of environments and end users
