CPL CONCORDIA, ENGIE Italia and the "Leonardo Da Vinci" State Institute of Higher Education in Florence sign the Agreement for the project "Glider: school and businesses, wings for work".
Objective: to train, with the experts of the two companies, in synergy and in support of the team of internal teachers, "Technicians for the maintenance and installation of systems", facilitating the integration of young people into the world of work
Florence, 15 December 2017 – The energy players CPL CONCORDIA and ENGIE Italia - with a solid presence also in Tuscany in the field of energy efficiency and Facility Management - and the "Leonardo Da Vinci" State Institute of Higher Education in Florence today signed the agreement for the project "Aliante: school and businesses, wings for work", launched for the 2017-2018 school year on the subject of School-Work Alternation.
The Convention defines as the purpose of the project, in terms of final skills, the training of the professional figure of the "Technician of Maintenance and Installation of equipment and systems".
The recipients of the "Aliante" project will be all the fourth and fifth classes of the Professional Institute "L. Da Vinci", a total of 90 students, assisted by a working group of 5 professors, coordinated by Prof. Salvatore Pinco.
At the "Leonardo da Vinci" we build the future of our students, and provide them with the cultural foundations, the principles of civil coexistence and the professional skills to face the world of work in the future. "This agreement stems from our desire and that of our partners to share the same goal, and to invest in the same skills. "
Together with the partner companies, the minimum skills to be acquired by the students have been defined to prepare them to face the work areas of interest (plant maintenance and installation, Global Service, Facility Management) as well as transversal skills such as those in the field of safety, management of teamwork, communication.
"Through the collaboration with schools of excellence, such as the Istituto Superiore Da Vinci in Florence, CPL CONCORDIA aims to contribute to the training of young people who are more aware and prepared to enter the world of work" - declares the President of CPL CONCORDIA Mauro Gori - "We also want to 'give wings to work', as the Aliante project proposes, and do it throughout the country. This collaboration follows others already underway and precedes others to come. It is a precise choice that our cooperative has made, well aware that people represent the most important and precious resource for the development of any company. We are gaining experience on school-work alternation projects and this agreement is another important piece of a project that helps schools and companies to better cope with change."
"ENGIE Italia attaches great value to school-work alternation projects and to the Aliante project in particular," says Olivier Jacquier, CEO of ENGIE Italia, "as they represent a virtuous example of synergy between school and company in favor of young people. We are happy to make our expertise available to young people to enrich their school education, to provide keys to interpretation and greater awareness in choosing their future. In addition, the project allows us to convey to young people the importance and role that energy efficiency plays in the sustainable development of our country and a better quality of life for all. We hope that this initiative will inspire an alliance between other companies and other educational institutions."
The path provides for a strong synergy between companies and the educational institution. Starting from next spring and with temporal continuity, the companies will welcome students at their respective offices in groups belonging to all specializations, in order to standardize basic skills without neglecting the specificities of the various curvatures of specialization. Within the school, educational interventions will also be organized by company experts on specialized arguments (to be carried out during curricular hours), teacher training where necessary, and dedicated workshops. This will make it possible to support the training needs of the students and the operational needs of CPL CONCORDIA and ENGIE in terms of basic skills aimed at entering the world of work.
The project "Gliders, wings for work" will be illustrated in a dedicated classroom during the Open Days scheduled by the Da Vinci Institute on Saturday 16 December and Saturday 13 January.
