Concordia sulla Secchia (MO), 5 September 2019 – The top management of CPL CONCORDIA met to analyse the performance of the cooperative's half-year financial statements as at 30 June 2019.
There was a marked increase in turnover, which reached 160 million Euros with an increase of 42 million compared to June 2018, and net profit which reached 10.7 million (+9 million compared to the same period last year).
Significant positive results also from debt, with a Net Financial Position that fell to 66 million Euros, with a decrease of 34 million compared to 30 June 2018. EBITDA also improved, reaching €15.8 million compared to €11 million twelve months earlier.
"The data for the first half of the year confirm that the cooperative is growing in a structured way both in terms of turnover and profit," underlines the President of CPL Paolo Barbieri. "We want to consolidate development and employment by pursuing new business opportunities in gas technologies in Italy and abroad, in Liquefied Natural Gas, in energy efficiency, also thanks to qualified collaborations with large private partners".
Between reconfirmed contracts and new acquisitions , the multi-year work portfolio recorded an increase to over 770 million euros: among the important orders are the cogeneration and district heating plant serving the Pero (MI) purification plant and the construction of gas networks in Sardinia.
The development of orders has driven the growth of employment, which in June 2019 reached 1580 employees, a new record for the cooperative in 120 years of activity, with 300 new hires in the last 12 months.

"In addition to skills assessment courses , we have launched an innovative On Boarding project for the rapid involvement of new hires, approved the regulation for the incentive of corporate welfare with performance bonuses for workers and we will start smart working on some services by the end of the year ".
