{"id":17248,"date":"2019-09-05T11:03:30","date_gmt":"2019-09-05T09:03:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cpl.it\/notizia\/cpl-concordia-leap-forward-in-profit-and-turnover-in-the-first-half\/"},"modified":"2024-02-23T17:45:22","modified_gmt":"2024-02-23T16:45:22","slug":"cpl-concordia-leap-forward-in-profit-and-turnover-in-the-first-half","status":"publish","type":"notizia","link":"https:\/\/www.cpl.it\/en\/news\/cpl-concordia-leap-forward-in-profit-and-turnover-in-the-first-half\/","title":{"rendered":"CPL CONCORDIA, leap forward in profit and turnover in the first half"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Concordia sulla Secchia (MO), 5 September 2019 \u2013 The top management of CPL CONCORDIA met to analyse the performance of the cooperative&#8217;s half-year financial statements as at 30 June 2019.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>There was a marked increase in turnover, which reached 160 million Euros with an increase of 42 <\/strong>million compared to June 2018, <strong>and net profit which reached 10.7 <\/strong>million (+<strong>9 million <\/strong>compared to the same period last year).<\/p>\n\n<p>Significant positive results also from debt, with a<strong> Net Financial Position that fell to 66 million Euros, with a <\/strong>decrease of 34 million compared to 30 June 2018. <strong>EBITDA also improved, reaching \u20ac15.8 million compared to \u20ac11 million<\/strong> twelve months earlier.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;The data for the first half of the year confirm that the <strong>cooperative is growing in a structured way both in terms of turnover and profit<\/strong>,&#8221; underlines <strong>the President of CPL Paolo Barbieri<\/strong>. &#8220;We want to consolidate development and employment by pursuing <strong>new business opportunities in gas technologies<\/strong> in Italy and abroad, in Liquefied Natural Gas, <strong>in energy efficiency<\/strong>, also thanks to qualified collaborations with large private partners&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>Between reconfirmed contracts and new acquisitions<strong> , the multi-year work portfolio recorded an increase to over 770 million euros<\/strong>: among the important orders are the <strong>cogeneration and district heating<\/strong> plant serving the Pero (MI) purification plant and the construction of <strong>gas networks in Sardinia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The development of orders has driven the<strong> growth of employment, which <\/strong>in June 2019 <strong>reached 1580<\/strong> <strong>employees<\/strong>, a new <strong>record for the cooperative in 120 years of activity, with 300 new hires in the last 12 <\/strong>months.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>Our company is constantly investing in the training and enhancement of human resources, CPL&#8217;s most important asset,&#8221;<\/strong> observes <strong>CPL General Manager Pierluigi Capelli<\/strong>. &#8220;In addition to skills <strong>assessment courses<\/strong> , we have launched an innovative On Boarding project for the <strong>rapid involvement of new hires<\/strong>, approved the regulation for the <strong>incentive of corporate welfare<\/strong> with performance bonuses for workers and we will start smart working on some services <strong>by the end of the year<\/strong> &#8220;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Concordia sulla Secchia (MO), 5 September 2019 \u2013 The top management of CPL CONCORDIA met to analyse the performance of the cooperative&#8217;s half-year financial statements as at 30 June 2019.
