Since April 2012, CPL CONCORDIA has managed the public lighting systems and traffic light systems in the Municipality of San Benedetto del Tronto, Ascoli Piceno, a town of 50,000 inhabitants located in the southern part of the Marche region on the Adriatic coast, an area popular with both national and international tourists. The plant renovation project will restore operational safety conditions, ensure greater energy efficiency in compliance with the pertinent directives (installation of high efficiency LED technology lamps, use of centralised and precise flow reduction systems), ensure a capable management service (a remote monitoring system is planned for all the plants), improve the aesthetic and environmental impact of the public lighting system in those particular tourist areas like along the promenade (frequented by many tourists in the summer months) and the city centre and its many pedestrian areas, where many events are hosted year round.
