The Board of Directors of CPL CONCORDIA comments positively on the ruling on the methanization of the Agro Aversano

With reference to the trial on the methanization of the Agro Aversano, CPL CONCORDIA notes with satisfaction the first instance sentence in which the former managers of the company were acquitted and declared the non-existence of any form of collusion of the cooperative with organized crime. The Board of Directors reaffirms its confidence in the work of the Judiciary, which has clearly certified that CPL has nothing to do with the accusations of external participation in a mafia association. These accusations, supported by the Naples prosecutor's office as part of an investigation that began in 2014, are the basis of the reasons that led the Company to suffer the prefectural interdiction and exclusion from the White List in April 2015. The effects are well known: the cooperative has been placed under receivership, there has been a reduction in the number of jobs for more than a third of the turnover, employment has dropped, important efforts have been made by members and employees to give continuity to the cooperative, first of all the Cassa Integrazione (CIGS) and the Solidarity Contract. After the readmission to the White List and the signing of the restructuring agreement with the banking class, the efforts made by the corporate structure to give continuity to the cooperative are achieving results that give confidence in the future. Now the relaunch of the cooperative must continue with development policies aimed at guaranteeing more work and income for members and employees, also passing through a strategic reputational relaunch plan.
