The system
The photovoltaic effect consists of the transformation of sunlight directly into electric energy. In this case the phenomenon occurs directly by employing the so-called photovoltaic effect. In fact, some semiconductors, after being specially treated and interfaced, are able to generate electricity if they are hit by solar radiation.
Also the photovoltaic energy system is constructed with panels and equipment (inverters, collection systems, etc.) that allow electricity to be produced autonomously.
CPL's experience
Thanks to a photovoltaic plant is possible:
- to save on the energetic bill
- to contribute to the national and European objectives of reduction of CO2 emissions
- to become a producer of electric energy
