For the remote management of the cathodic protection of underground pipes
The e-service called pcnet was created for the remote management of the cathodic protection of underground pipes. The objective was to realize a complete system for continuous monitoring through time of the state of protection of underground pipes.
Thanks to telemetric readings from the various measuring points and/or railway crossings from GSM peripherals, and the remote control of cathodic supplies, it is possible to guarantee a high level of closed loop efficiency for the entire network, and at the same time achieve the complete computerization of readings in compliance with UNI standards, replacing the normal periodic checks conducted by on-site operators.
On the convenient web page the customer can view their systems, divided into areas by subsystem, with plants, networks, and measuring points. It is possible to view the figures for the last reading and/or access the TDS database to display daily data for all the readings taken by the data-logger both in graphic and table format, highlighting minimum, maximum, average, or standard deviation. Any anomalies can be communicated by e-mail or SMS.
