Telematic reading of consumers/customers
Telematic reading of consumers/customers is constantly gaining ground in the new liberalized gas market. Today, shippers, who handle sales and commercial relationships with customers, are becoming involved along with the distribution companies.
Flogas
The use of flogas application ensures a series of advantages:
- Quantification of daily consumption
- Added value to the quality of supply
- Visibility of costs
The service includes the daily querying of measuring points (domestic gas meters, PTZ gas volume converters), collecting data recorded by peripheral units (data-loggers) at programmed time intervals. The data are recorded at the TDS Data Management Centre of CPL CONCORDIA, for a period of not less than 3 years, and are subject to a series of checks after acquisition:
- Synchronization between the data acquisition system and the time memorized by the logger/volume converter
- Validation of the measuring point ID
- Validation of the ID of the measuring/data-logger device
- Validation of the user ID
- Validation of the customer ID
- Validation of measuring channel
Foregas
Now that the new terms of contract refer to daily capacity (DC), compliance with contractual terms avoids capacity deviations with consequent economic penalties. The foregas application provides various types of forecast based on data collected on-site (flogas) from meters and/or converters installed in the reduction and measuring stations. The data can be processed using complex algorithms in two ways:
- instantly on-site using intelligent devices with serial connections to the existing converters.
- in remote by means of telematic reading from the acquisition centre - from here customers can be informed of deviation forecasts.
