The different systems of gas reducing station
The initial receiving and measurement systems are normally connected to a high-pressure transport network to treat, decompress, and measure the gas arriving at the gas pressure reduction units serving the municipal networks, industrial and small business customers, or electricity generation systems.
Special attention is focused on solutions for housing the systems that can be installed in traditional type civil construction projects, in prefabricated structures to be assembled in the field, and also in structures made of vibrated reinforced concrete, which permit the factory preinstalled system to be transported by vehicle. For this type of system CPL Concordia has developed the IRIS series of products for both industrial and civil use, which is in perfect conformity with SNAM Rete Gas’s Network Code.
Systems for civil distribution
These systems are comprised of:
- A gas filtering, preheating, and decompression section, which is normally constructed as a double line
- A gas measuring section with volume meters, ultrasound systems, or Venturi meters
- A gas odorizing section with lapping systems and/or automatic injection of the odorizer liquid
- A hot water production section and pump units for preheating the gas
- A section for the electronic conversion of the measured volumes.
Systems for industrial and/or small business customers
These systems are comprised of:
- A gas filtering, preheating, and decompression section, constructed as a single or redundant line
- A gas measuring section with volume meters, ultrasound systems, or Venturi meters
- A hot water production section and pump units for preheating the gas
- A section for the electronic conversion of the measured volumes.
Systems electricity generation systems
These systems have the following features:
- A filtering section with multistage filters for separating solid and liquid particles from the gas.
- A gas measuring section with volume meters, ultrasound systems, or Venturi meters
- A gas preheating and decompression section with one or more readundant lines
- A hot fluid production and/or treatment section for preheating the gas
- A section for the electronic conversion of the measured volumes
- A final filtration section for protecting the gas turbine
- A gas chromatography analysis section for analyzing the gas quality
- A DCS interface section for process data acquisition and remote control of the pressure reduction unit.
