What is cogeneration?
A short introduction to the reasons of this revolutionary technology
Every day, without realizing, we use an appreciated fuel - gas methane or gasoil - to produce energy of low merit. The cogeneration is born as the solution to this waste. We see together as it works.
The fuel is turned into electric energy before. Thermal energy is recovered instead, being one "discard" of the first transformation.

The combined heat and power generator is formed from an internal combustion engine attached to an electrical generator. The cogeneration has a 30-40% inferior fuel consumption.
This is translated in an economic saving and in a reduction of the issues in atmosphere.
The systems of cogeneration combine high performances and reliability (8.000 hours a year of exercise for an useful life of 60.000 hours) to the lowest costs of investment and exercise.
CPL Concordia has installed over 400 systems of cogeneration: it's the confirmation of the success of this technology.
Cogeneration and Biogas
Cogeneration allows renewable energy sources to be utilized in the most efficient manner. Cogeneration using biogas is of particular interest as it is an integrated process that allows the production of economical and ecological energy: biogas from dumps, biogas from wastewater treatment systems, and biogas from agricultural biomass.
